Decklit ("Decklit," "we," "our," or "us") refers to the operator of the Service and provides a browser-based platform that enables users to upload slide decks (PPTX / PDF), deliver synchronised presentations, utilise collaboration tools, access artificial intelligence features, and collect audience feedback (the "Service").
By accessing or using Decklit at decklit.com, you ("User," "Presenter," or "Viewer") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Decklit offers both free and paid subscription plans with different features, usage limits, and capabilities. Plan details are available on our website and may be updated from time to time.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or use the Service as a presenter.
Viewers who access a shared presentation link may do so without registering but remain subject to these Terms where applicable.
By using the Service, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, maintain the security of your login credentials, and promptly update any outdated information.
You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account.
You may delete your account at any time through the available account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
Decklit provides a Free plan with limited functionality and a Pro subscription plan that unlocks additional features, which may include advanced presentation capabilities, artificial intelligence tools, analytics, storage expansion, and real-time communication technologies.
Features, pricing, storage limits, and availability may change periodically. Where required by law, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
Current plan details are available on our website.
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription ("Pro").
By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees displayed at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) unless cancelled before renewal.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation prevents future billing but does not retroactively refund charges already incurred.
Decklit uses third-party payment processors, including Stripe, to handle billing securely. Payment information is processed directly by these providers and is subject to their terms and privacy policies. Decklit does not store full payment card details.
We reserve the right to modify pricing upon reasonable notice. Price changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
Failure to complete payment may result in suspension, downgrade, or termination of access to paid features.
Taxes: All fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes, levies, or duties imposed by tax authorities. Where required, such taxes will be added to the fees and payable by the customer.
If you are not satisfied with your initial Decklit Pro purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days from the date of the first subscription purchase.
Refund eligibility is forfeited if the Service has been materially used, including conducting a live presentation session (for example, sharing a deck via link or QR code with viewers).
This refund policy applies only to the first subscription purchase and does not apply to renewals, upgrades, add-ons, or promotional offers unless required by applicable law.
To request a refund, please email [email protected].
Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.
Payments are refundable within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable, except where required by law.
You retain all rights to the presentations, files, and materials you upload ("User Content").
You grant Decklit a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, convert, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You agree not to upload or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, violent, pornographic, exploitative, misleading, or otherwise harmful. Decklit may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this provision and may report suspected criminal activity to the appropriate authorities.
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service — including its software, design, technology, AI systems, branding, logos, and underlying architecture — remain the exclusive property of Decklit and its licensors.
Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, distribute, sell, lease, create derivative works, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the Service.
Unauthorised use may result in account termination and legal action.
Certain features of the Service rely on third-party artificial intelligence models and providers. Decklit may use external service providers to enable AI functionality and may change such providers at its discretion.
AI-generated outputs are probabilistic and may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and validating AI-generated content before relying on it. Decklit disclaims liability arising from decisions made based on AI-generated material.
Decklit processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable.
We collect limited information necessary to operate the Service, which may include account details, viewer nicknames, and engagement metrics such as slide views, dwell time, and Q&A activity. We use third-party subprocessors that follow recognised industry security standards.
Users have certain rights regarding their personal data, subject to legal limitations. These rights may include the ability to withdraw consent, object to processing, access their data, request correction, restrict processing, request deletion, receive their data in a portable format, and lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, users may submit a request by contacting [email protected], as further described in our Privacy Policy. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling such requests.
For detailed information about how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data — including the legal basis for processing and safeguards for international data transfers — please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Decklit implements commercially reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission, network access controls, system isolation practices, and authenticated infrastructure access.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You agree not to upload malware or malicious code, attempt to probe or test platform vulnerabilities, reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service, scrape or commercially exploit the platform without permission, share private presentation links inconsistently with intended access controls, or bypass security protections or usage limits.
Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we aim for high reliability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
Support is provided via [email protected] on a best-effort basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Decklit disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Decklit's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Decklit in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Decklit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
You agree to indemnify and hold Decklit harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or engage in abusive or unlawful conduct.
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account. Provisions that reasonably should survive termination will remain in effect.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (such as via email or platform notification). Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you submit comments, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Service ("Feedback"), you agree that Decklit may use such Feedback without restriction or compensation to you.
